Privacy Policy

Plain-English version. You share your event details with us so we can find the right venue for you. We pass qualified enquiries to the venue. We never sell your data. You can ask us to delete everything we hold about you — write to info@banquethub.in.

1 · Who we are

BanquetHub ("we", "us") operates an Indian venue marketplace at banquethub.in. We connect hosts to banquet halls, resorts and other event venues across Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai.

2 · What we collect

  • Enquiry information you provide: name, phone, email, event date, guest count, occasion, optional budget, and any free-text message.
  • Account information if you create an account: email, hashed password, wishlist of venues.
  • Usage information automatically: pages viewed, referrer, IP address, user-agent, and cookies needed to keep you signed in.
  • No special-category data: we do not knowingly collect financial account numbers, government IDs, biometric data, or children's information.

3 · How we use it

  • To match your enquiry to suitable venues and contact you with options.
  • To pass qualified leads to the venue you enquired about, so they can quote you.
  • To operate, secure and improve the platform (rate limiting, fraud prevention, debugging).
  • To reply to support requests.
  • With your separate opt-in, to send a monthly newsletter.

4 · How AI features process your data

We use Anthropic's Claude API to (a) parse your search query into filters, (b) draft a starting message on your behalf when you click "Draft with AI", (c) score the strength of incoming enquiries so our team prioritises follow-ups, and (d) generate venue summaries from public reviews. AI providers process this data under their own terms; per Anthropic's policy, your inputs are not used to train their models. You can always type your message yourself instead of using AI.

5 · Who we share it with

  • Venues you enquired about — only the details needed to quote you.
  • Service providers who help us run the site — hosting, email delivery, AI inference, analytics. Each is bound by confidentiality.
  • Regulators or courts if law requires it.
  • We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

6 · Photos and venue content

Venue photos shown on the site come from Google Places (attributed inline) and from venue listings we have permission to reproduce. If you are a venue owner and want a photo removed, email info@banquethub.in.

7 · Cookies

We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies (session, CSRF protection, wishlist) and may add privacy-respecting analytics (Plausible or similar). We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

8 · Your rights (DPDP Act 2023, India)

You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of the personal data we hold about you. You may also withdraw consent for any optional processing (e.g. newsletter). To exercise any of these, email info@banquethub.in; we'll respond within 30 days.

9 · Retention

We keep enquiry data for as long as it's useful to support you — typically up to 24 months after your event date. Account data is kept until you delete the account. We may keep anonymous, aggregated statistics indefinitely.

10 · Security

We use HTTPS in transit, hashed passwords, server-side input validation, and a least-privilege database account. No system is perfectly secure; if you discover a vulnerability, please report it responsibly to info@banquethub.in.

11 · Children

The platform is not directed at children under 18. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, write to info@banquethub.in and we will delete it.

12 · Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be flagged on this page with a new "last updated" date.
